Lisa Pijuan-Nomura(she/they) is a self taught multidisciplinary artist who works in mixed media collage, story, dance and sound and has performed for the past 30 years. She currently lives in Hamilton and is the co-founder of Studio Beulah, a community gallery focused on Art, Performance and Community.

Alongside her personal art practice Lisa offers support to artists as a creativity coach and an organizer of art happenings. She is currently focused on MIGHTY BRAVE Youth Arts Collective which helps youth learn about putting your art out into the world.

In 2014, two years after moving to Hamilton, Lisa was awarded the Hamilton Arts Awards for Performance. In 2019 she was awarded the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award for her work in Arts and Culture.

Lisa was the 2022 Luminato Festival Artist In Residence, the recipient of the Nordic Artist Exchange where she spent six weeks on an artist residency in Estonia.

This year she was awarded a residency with the Kolaj Institute in New Orleans as well as a 3 month residency at The Gladstone House. She will be working on a show exploring lost memories, gender and movement.
