Lisa Martini-Dunk
Lisa is a formally trained Fine Artist from Guelph/Peterborough. Lisa creates her visions with Scratchboard. and printmaking. Lisa Won a poster contest for 2019 for National Purebred Dog Day. She is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists. Lisa's art has a playful quality telling the story effervescent, which shows the impression of the ingenious, where unimaginable and unreasonable can become sensible and absolute.
What is Scratchboard? A board or paper with a layer of white Clay and a layer of black Indian ink; The surface is scratched with many lines to reveal the white. When the image is completed, the colour is added. Scratchboard has a long history that goes back to the 1800s. It was mainly used for illustrations in magazines, books and newspapers. It replaced Wood engraving.
