Lauren Walker
My name is Lauren Walker and I am, “The Artist Within.” I am a self taught acrylic artist from Port Perry, Ontario. I’ve spent twenty two years helping to run a family run fitness business and my full time profession is a Personal Trainer.
My professional art career started five years ago during a very tumultuous time. I suffered panic attacks, depression and severe anxiety. Art is my saving grace and allowed me to find stability in my life. Thus, “The Artist Within” was born. Art is not a hobby, it is my purpose. As of May 2025 I will have five solo gallery shows under my belt as well as a multitude of group shows. My work has been featured with the Holy Art Gallery in Athens, Barcelona, London and Toronto. My work has also been featured in several international publications as well. I am currently working on writing a book which features artists and their individual creative journey. I am pursuing bigger opportunities to showcase my work at home and abroad. My ultimate goal is to build a studio to work with seniors and teach the benefit of creativity for mental health.
This particular set of work featured is part of my monochrome series of "Interesting Buildings in Ontario" which was featured at the Kent Farndale Gallery in Port Perry, Ontario in May 2025.
