Lara Sturzenbaum
Lara Sturzenbaum is an Argentine contemporary jewellery and object designer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her interest in sustainable materials has motivated her to research and experiment with biomaterials as her primary artistic medium.
Inspired by the majesty of the Patagonian region where she grew up, she blends traditional jewellery techniques with naturally dyed and textured bioplastics and biocompounds made from renewable sources. Her creative process allows her to incorporate native flowers, fruits, and vegetables, resulting in organic, flexible forms or sharply structured shapes.
