Kulwant Singh Bhullar
As a Brampton based Indo-Canadian artist, I have been painting on the side for more than 30 years now. After completing my graduate program (MFA) at Panjab University, Chandigarh, in drawing and painting, I immigrated to Canada in an effort to pursue my art full time. I specialize in painting portraiture from life and from photographs. Some of my work has been commissioned, while others are subject based paintings. As an oil painter, I approach my work with realistic aesthetics in mind. I aim to paint my subjects with a clarity of who they are and how they feel, allowing viewers to ‘bond’ with the piece.
