Kinga Orosz
I'm Kinga Orosz, the printmaker behind KingaPrints.
I'm a graphic artist creating limited edition artist prints mostly colour reduction linocut prints and, copper and zinc etchings.
Printmaking brings me joy and tranquility.
Becoming a printmaking artist was one of my longtime dreams so when I moved to Toronto I learned several intaglio and relief printmaking techniques at Central Technical School and Open Studio Printmaking Centre but I first studied drawing and painting as a child back in my hometown Arad, Romania and I fell in love with graphic arts. After graduating from the University of Szeged and while getting my Art Appraiser diploma at one of the most prestigious Art galleries in Budapest, Hungary, I found my favorite medium: paper.
I'm constantly learning new techniques and my favorite is always the one I'm studying.
My work is inspired by my surroundings in my home and my neighborhood. I love animals and nature in general and I believe we cannot and should not live without art!
