Juliet Promnitz creates colourful ceramics in her studio in Guelph, Ontario. Originally from South Africa, she remains heavily influenced by the bold use of pattern and colour in African art. She is a hand builder, making both functional and decorative wares in stoneware, paying particular attention to vibrant surface decoration. She hopes the viewer can feel the joy she has in her making
