Julien Kandolo

Kando is a professional visual artist. He was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Today, he lives and works in Montreal. He completed his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa and he studied Environmental Design at UQAM. For 10 years now, Kando has been developing his work through research on the individual and identity, because he feels a deep desire for freedom.

Kando est un artiste professionnel en arts visuels. Il est né à Kinshasa, en République démocratique du Congo, puis il s’est établi au Québec. Il a complété sa formation à l’Académie des beaux-arts de Kinshasa et a étudié en design de l’environnement à l’UQAM. Depuis maintenant 10 ans, Kando développe ses oeuvres par des recherches sur l’individu et l’identité, parce qu’il éprouve avec un profond désir de liberté.
