As an artist captivated by the culinary world, my oil paintings serve as a visual ode to the stories told through food. From childhood memories to shared experiences, I find inspiration in the profound role that food plays in our lives. Each brushstroke carries with it the essence of a narrative, weaving together moments of joy, nostalgia, and introspection.

Growing up with a deep appreciation for the artistry of cooking, I discovered that behind every dish lies a tale waiting to be told. Whether it's the aroma of freshly baked bread triggering memories of home or the vibrant colours of a summer fruit market evoking feelings of wanderlust, my paintings aim to capture the emotional resonance embedded within our culinary experiences.

A distinctive feature of my work is the use of a black background combined with vibrant colours on the main object, mimicking the visualization of memories. This technique reflects how, when we close our eyes and try to remember something, we often see a black background with the object of our memory vividly centred. This stark contrast highlights the importance of the remembered object, drawing the viewer’s focus and enhancing the emotional impact.
