I took a winding route to ceramics, first graduating from the Sculpture/Installation program at OCAD, where I studied under Liz Magor. After earning an MFA in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art, I moved to New York City where I was a studio assistant to Jeff Koons. These early experiences gave me different insights into conceiving and producing forms that would eventually inform my distinctive approach to ceramic art.

I discovered clay while reinventing myself as an artist. I am self-taught and have benefitted from workshops with masters like Angelo di Petta and Peter Pincus.

In 2021 I began exhibiting in Cultivate, a group exhibition hosted by the Gardiner Museum. Since then, my work has been included in The Ceramics Congress Canada Exhibition curated by Carole Epp, and Confined at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery. Recently I was awarded a Research and Creation Grant from the Canada Council for the Arts and named one of Ceramics Monthly's Emerging Artists of 2023.
