Isabelle Langevin
Fascinated by human beings, Isabelle seeks to capture the inner tension that emanates from them: in their solitude, in their relationship with others and with living things, in their way of inhabiting space. Through a truncated point of view, she suggests without saying too much. Her free interpretation creates an atmosphere in which dreams blend with reality. Nature, often an accomplice, becomes an organic motif. She paints with acrylic on paper (mounted on canvas or wood). Her assertive, lively gestures give an impression of instantaneity. Through the beauty of everyday things, of which we often see only fragments, she expresses particles of truth. The artist lives near the river in Montreal. After studying graphic design, she turned to illustration, and years later to painting, which has won her several 1st prizes in Quebec. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. To contact her: by message or text.
