I was born and raised in Kamloops BC where I graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a visual arts diploma and eventually transitioned to Emily Carr Institute where I completed my BFA.

I currently work with cone 6-7 stoneware and porcelain clay bodies to create a mix of contemporary table ware and objects both functional and sculptural.

My primary focus is on the refinement of form and the subtle relationships between individual elements and how they interact with each other. I want the form to take the stage with my work. Many of my pieces are unglazed on the outside, allowing the raw textures of the clay body to shine. I often experiment with carving images into my pieces.

I have a strong interest in sacred geometry, esoteric symbolism and concepts surrounding ritual and ceremony. I enjoy exploring those elements with my work which is an ongoing process which I am continually exploring and implementing.
