Daria Gavrilina
I am an abstract landscape painter and graphic designer based in Toronto, Ontario. Inspired by the natural world, I seek to find geometry, simplicity, and elegance in every landscape composition. My work captures a wide range of environments – from the misty shores of Georgian Bay to the sharp, rhythmic structures of the Alps. As an avid skier, sailor, and hiker, my creative practice is deeply fuelled by the time I spend outdoors.
Working with layered oil paints and a palette knife to build rich, tactile volume, I use expressive, vibrant colours to create a warm, welcoming space for the viewer. I want each piece to act as a deep breath, giving the audience a bright but comforting place to sit back and unwind.
