Callie Gray is an award winning international artist, who creates vibrantly colorful abstracts.

…“As an artist, I am driven to paint almost every day, and when I’m not painting I’m absorbing life, soaking it up like a sponge that I can later drip all over my canvas!
The goal of my art is to transform those experiences into beautiful art that is fully alive and magical. It’s a very intuitive process and I have no idea of the outcome when I start. I build up many layers in paint, using washes, fluid brushstrokes, random marks and often some printing or stenciling, giving it a rich depth and history.
Through this process I find a greater understanding of myself and experience a unique connection to the world around me. And if it connects with someone and gives them joy then I have done my job.”

Background
Callie Gray, originally from Nottingham England, has a BA in Fashion Textile Design, and a Diploma in Interior Design. After ‘back-packing’ around Europe and the Middle East, she settled in Canada. Callie’s past accomplishments include being a knitwear designer, commercial illustrator, mural artist, costume designer for film, proposal specialist for a high end furniture design company, as well as running an artist’s cooperative and being a mum.
