Deeply inspired by the rich history and tradition of Indian miniature painting, my work seeks to honor this intricate art form while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens. I blend classical techniques with modern aesthetics, creating detailed compositions that reflect both the past and present — a "Then and Now" twist that invites dialogue between eras, cultures, and perspectives.
Using materials such as acrylics, gouache, gold leaf, and fine brushes, I strive to create a jewel-like surface, rich in texture and vibrant in color. Each piece is carefully rendered, echoing the meticulous craftsmanship of traditional miniatures, yet infused with my own narrative and stylistic exploration.
Through my work, I aim to evoke wonder, curiosity, and a sense of cultural connection. The familiar and the exotic, the ancient and the modern, coexist — drawing the viewer into a world that feels both intimate and expansive. My compositions serve not just as visual presentations, but as conversations — between artist and audience, between history and imagination. The ultimate fulfillment comes when a piece sparks a personal response, forming an invisible bond between creator and observer.
I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from The College of Art, Delhi, and have studied at George Brown College, Toronto. My professional journey includes roles as a graphic designer and Art Director for Discovery Magazine. I’ve held solo exhibitions and participated in major art events such as The Artist Project, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair (TOAF), Artist Network exhibitions, Richmond Hill Studio Tours, and other art fairs. As a founding member of the Richmond Hill Artists Co-op, I remain committed to fostering artistic community. In 2023, I was honored with an Honorable Mention Painting Award at TOAF.
