New Horizons

In partnership with our community

Dear Friend of TOAF,

Art Encounters—TOAF’s Access and Outreach—program is soaring to new heights.

The program continues to evolve with the participation of individual artists and new national and local partnerships: Northwest Territories Arts Program, Indigenous Curatorial Collective, BAND Gallery, Tangled Art + Disability, The Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf, and StreetARToronto. The combined impact of Art Encounters and the Travel Bursary programs has exceeded our expectations—allowing us to bring you new, diverse visions and compelling stories. Take time to get to know Art Encounters artists before we meet in person in a few days.

We are also blown away by the record number of organizations (20+) joining us as programming partners and community booths – it is the first year that this many of our neighbours in our beloved 401 Richmond home are at TOAF: Museum of Toronto, Art Dealers Association of CanadaTangled Art + DisabilityOpen Studio, BAND Gallery, C Magazine, and Le Labo.

Tune in today and tomorrow to connect with artists live on Instagram for more insightful and upbeat artist chats. Our first artist chat was delightful. Here is the link if you missed it.

We are leaving you with Silent Dialogues, a Curated Collection by Andrew Booth of Vancouver Art Blog.

Enjoy,
The TOAF team
