This piece was inspired by bamboo scaffolding. This is because I came from Hong Kong, I have always been amazed by the techniques of bamboo scaffolding. After moving to Toronto, I saw the scaffolding was in metal. I wanted to use metal to create the look of bamboo which gives a contradiction but also an appreciation to the bamboo scaffolding.
