Description

Informed by my drawing explorations, this windowsill still life grouping includes a mix of pieces that connect me to the people and places I cherish. Each piece contains threads of my story. As I work, new narratives are imagined and intertwined offering comfort and joyful reflection.
Lustrous and metallic threads are embroidered onto an appliquéd silk ground using my basic domestic sewing machine as a drawing tool. I stitch freely over the surface creating rich texture, pattern and details.
