My painting, titled Innocence of Childhood II, is a visual commentary on children's unexpected emotional outbursts. When looking at a child's face, it can be difficult to predict how they will act next. Will they smile and giggle sweetly, or will they cry out in discomfort? With this in mind, I attempted to capture this little boy's expression moments before what could be a laugh or a cry.
