Description

A second of the series. I try to re-appropriate the concept of body, movement and space by juxtaposing the traditional Bantu paradigm with my journey in contemporary western environment. I am interested in our own traditional idea of black body, movement and space in painting to question the power of images in opposition to the colonial narrative propaganda. I intended to create an interaction between history through the manipulation of historical archives and the present.
