Description

"Il Mago", the magician is another mask made to honour the masks of Commedia Dell'Arte'. It is Paper mâché and canvas with wool, twigs, stones, beads finished with a specialty glazed rag paper and mounted on an 18" x 18" painted and framed birchwood panel. The interior is a tableau with glazed newsprint, sparkly things, leather strips, a stone and a twig. This mask was made for a ritual even though the ritual does not exist.
