Studio window with chart, Perdition Road

Artist
Dan Crawford
Description
This image is a reflection on the social effects during a pandemic
and refers to the film, Road to Perdition, during the Great
Depression in 1931.
Ninety years later we experienced a pandemic with social unrest and crime.

The scene is from an artist’s studio with masked figures in a
derelict part of the city. The central figure wears a mask from the
influenza pandemic of 1918.
The boy cycling in the opposite direction represents change and hope. The chart records the passing of time.
