This series came from the idea that the moon is witness to the events on earth from the mundane to the profound. This interconnection with the Moon is crucial to life on Earth.
Tobacco is 12000 years old and evolved from a religious, medicinal and currency use. Any beneficial qualities of its early medicinal use have been replaced by the mass marketed product.
The juxtaposition of the floating burning cigarette with the moon creates a gravity defying image. - Year
