Hand-carved paper bi brooch, air-dried, sculpted, sanded and polished by hand.
Each piece begins with the meditative act of writing the Chinese character for "cloud" by hand, before the paper is torn, pulped, and shaped. These works are an embodiment of clouds, anchored yet weightless, formed through ritual and transformation, as I express my longing for freedom and a renewed connection between humans and the natural world.
