Description

This artwork was made during an art residency in Brazil, on environmental issues. The deforestation of the Amazon rainforest has accelerated in recent years.

The fabric used is local and represents the luxurious forest surrounding my studio while in Brazil. The black paper is handmade by me, from cotton, dyed with black and copper pigments.

The unthreading of the fabric serves as nest material.
