Tueai La
Tueai came to Canada as a refugee from Vietnam. She received her B.A. in Visual Arts from York University in 1987. Having witnessed the deep pain and sorrow of war, Tueai has been searching for a universal understanding of oneself. A recurrent theme in her work is capturing the vibrant and healing energy of life through the depiction of sunlight on flowers and leaves. She loves painting flowers because, for her, flowers embody the divine energy and symbolize the beauty and fragility of life. Her creative process is guided by intuition, while striving to recreate beauty that touches her heart.
Tueai is an oil painter based in her home studio in Richmond Hill, ON.
