Maintaining Accessibility | Toronto Outdoor Art Fair

Accessibility

Toronto Outdoor Art Fair is committed to serving all patrons, including persons with disabilities, in a radically welcoming and accessible environment.

Nathan Phillips Square is an accessible venue

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are located on the main level of the parking garage and elevators are available to Nathan Phillips Square from the parking garage.

Transit

There is a bus/streetcar stop at Queen and Bay streets, 120 metres from the venue. The Queen subway station and Osgoode subway station are both 350 metres from the venue. Wheel-Trans users should use the Hagerman Street entrance, northeast of Nathan Phillips Square.

Washrooms

Located behind Hero Burger inside the building, and inside City Hall on the main floor next to the east elevators. Please note that City Hall closes at 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome into all areas of our event, including the Beer Garden on the stage.

Online Fair

Accessible Website

An Accessibility Widget called UserWay is available on website. Visitors are able to resize all text, enhance spacing between text, change the colours of the screen, highlight all the links, pause animations, enlarge the cursor, change the line heights and text alignments, as well as opt for a Dyslexia-friendly setting. Non-text elements also have text alternatives.

Closed Captioning and ASL Interpretation

All pre-recorded digital programming includes closed captioning. TOAF provides ASL interpretation for our Deaf and hearing-impaired audiences during key public events such as our Awards Ceremony and select tours. For details on which programs will have ASL interpretation this year, take a look at our program schedule.
